Friday special for children.most of them are fussy about some foods.they often get bored with normal food.So this special IDLI MASALA for them.
Ingredients:
idllies-10(shredded)
onion-1big size(finely chopped)
garlic-2(finely chopped)
ginger-small piece(grated)
tomato-1big size(puree)
chopped coriender leaves
turmeric powder 1/4teaspoon
chilli powder -1 teaspoon(if u want more hot add 1more teaspoon)
curry masala powder - 1 1/2teaspoon
aniseed(saunf)powder - 1teaspoon
cooking oil- 2-3 table spoon
salt as needed
prperation:
Shred idllies in small pieces.heat oil in a non stick pan.fry finely chopped onion.when it turns golden brown add chopped garlic and ginger.fry for some more time.add chopped tomato and fry more. add turmeric powder,chilli powder,garam masala powder,aniseed powder and salt.when oil comes out in sides of the pan add the idlly pieces and chopped coriender leaves. mix it well and serve.
u can change the variety using the same recipe in mini idllies or cut normal idllies in small cubes.
this idlly masala is best for any time and any age group.this is the good recipe for lunch pack.
